It's always difficult to say goodbye to someone we love. It seems we are never ready for them to go even when we know they are ready to go home.

Not too long ago my aunt and I had the painful privilege of being at Grandmother's side as she went home to be with the Lord. While it hurt to let her go, the privilege of holding her hands as she stepped into the King's presence to receive her eternal rewards is something I will hold dear for the rest of my life.

Grandmother, mild-mannered, reserved woman of God, loved us unconditionally. In her quiet way, she made sure we all knew she loved us.

She may have been quiet and reserved but she was a warrior. She engaged in battle every day. Her battle was not a battle of this world but a spiritual battle. She put on the full armor every day and stood in the gap praying for her children and grandchildren
